So many people are whining about the economy, taxes, government spending, work, family life, or whatever. Very few people have legitimate reason to be whining. SO much energy, time and money is wasted bitching about things you can’t control. Wouldn’t that time and energy be better spent doing something constructive?
I’m guilty… I catch myself whining about my life from time to time. But then I remember how great I really have it… I’m married to the love of my life, and have two wonderful children. I have an amazing career–I love getting up and going to work in the morning. I have a successful business and so many great opportunities presenting themselves.
Sure, I could be whining about working long hours, bitching about all the stuff I haven’t gotten done but where would that get me? Instead you know what I’m doing? As Gary Vaynerchuk would say, I’m killing it. I’m buckling down and getting stuff done.
Next time you start to whine and complain, instead think of what you could be doing to change your situation. If you want something out of your life you’re going to have to make it happen.
“Your BEST? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f**k the prom queen!” – Sean Connery
Good on you! Bravo! I couldn’t agree more. People spend so much time and energy whining about some stuff that it just goes into ooverkill. I like your points because I’m in a similar place in my life as to where you are in yours. Thanks for the motivational kick in the pants.
Couldn’t have said it better myself Brandon. Just the other day got so tired of people’s constant whining that I felt the urge to write a very similar post : http://www.pedrosttau.com/hard-times-really/
What really pisses me off is that usually the ones who whine the most are the ones who have less reasons to complain.
